SLAMMO & SLOSHIE
Produced for AOL and HBO
Where'd this come from?
I created the characters, the series, co-wrote the story, directed the episodes, and handled a myriad of other visual tasks. But, more importantly, I was lucky enough to work with an unbelievably talented crew who slaved away (and conjured modern miracles) to bring these little bastards to life.
What was the series about?
A cantankerous robot searching for a new purpose and any commies needing a good skull-crushing. A vaudevillian puppet longing for adoration and a helum fix. And, probably, a handy.
Together, they discover they are the lost keys to the rise of a Sixth Reich, and the only ones that can bring such an enemy to its knees... if they can just get past the fact that they completely fucking despise one another.
What happened to the series?
The series was originally developed and produced for AOL but ultimately licensed to HBO while still in production as part of their digital comedy initiatives. Despite everyone involved having the best of intentions, a lot of corporate hand-wringing prevented the finished episodes from ever formally seeing the light of day.
